This is a blog containing my personal taste in music and art. That means you will see lots of Youtube videos with music I fancy, and also art videos and portraits from the Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo era.

3. Antonio Vivaldi: Stabat Mater (RV 621) / Carlos Mena
Enthusiasts of the films of Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski (Blind Chance, Dekalog, The Double Life of Véronique, Three Colours Trilogy, etc) are invited to drop by my chatroom at the Brasserie Alizé on the anniversary of the director’s death, this coming Friday evening, 13 March 2009, from around 1800 GMT. Please pass on the invitation to others and hopefully see you there!
By the way, I've got my Vigée-Lebrun now :). I forgot to write it last time. Unfortunately I haven't been able to start reading it yet, since there are lots of other books I have to read first...

ReplyDeleteWhat a woderful piece...Oh how I love Vivaldi!
ReplyDeleteHi Lucy!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. This piece is extremely beautiful. I love the part where the sound of the cello softly changes to the voice of the counter-tenor.
I wish you a nice & relaxing weekend! :))
Best,
Ninon
You're so right, the transition flows so naturally- just blissful...
ReplyDeleteThanks Ninon, have a wonderful weekend too!
